In July 2004, members from Tsunami Judo Club travelled to New Caledonia to attend a three day Judo seminar with Yasuhiro Yamashita, former undefeated All Japan, World and Olympic Champion.
Members from Tsunami Judo Club will be participating in the 2005 Australian National Kodokan Judo Championships, being held in Tweed Heads.
From the 11th July, our club will be hosts to Professor Kataoka, 8th Dan. Kataoka Sensei is arriving from Hokkaido, Japan for the 2005 Nationals and to hold a Judo seminar at our club.

Tsunami Judo Club also trains in Kata and these sessions are usually held Tuesday evenings.
Location
Tsunami Judo Club is established in Tweed Heads, on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, on the Queensland border.
It is located at the Old Pigabeen School, a local historic building, over 100 years old. It is placed in a picturesque valley only minutes away from the entertainment, shopping and world famous beaches of the Gold Coast.
It has accommodation facilities for visiting Judo players.

Our Club is only small, but it has some very good Judo players, including State, National and International Champions, both Juniors and Seniors.
