TSU Women's Basketball Defeat UTSA

HOUSTON, TX -Forward Kanesha Randle scored 16 points as Texas Southern (5-6) defeated the University of Texas San Antonio 47-39. Forward Menomanee Smith had 9 points and six rebounds. Rolanda Wilson came off the bench to score nine points for the Lady Tigers. The Lady Tigers were down 12-22 at halftime, with both teams shooting poorly in the first frame (TSU 21% UTSA 32%). However, the Lady Tigers picked up the pace in the second half, outscoring the Roadrunners 35-17. TSU outrebounded UTSA 41-36. TSU returns to home action, 7 p.m., January 6 in an exhibition contest against the Houston Rage. Tickets are free to the public.
