Houston, TX - -Texas Southern University middle blocker Charvette Lewis was named SWAC Volleyball Player of the Week. In seven games, Lewis posted a .278 hitting percentage while collecting 28 kills, 12 errors and 50 total attacks. The senior from Cy-Fair High School also garnered 17 digs. In the Lady Tigers five set victory over Southern, Lewis had 21 kills and 13 digs. The victory was the first over Southern since 1995.
