Fall Sighs

Falls' silent breath has brushed the trees,

leaves of gold and red sprinkle from blue skies.

My thoughts of you in this gorgeous scene

bringing memories of a short blushed love.

I can almost feel you next to me,

our hands entwined in a new found love.

Gazing upon this awesome treasure

I wish so that you could share its moment.

Silken lips I miss so much

and your glowing smile that warmed my heart.

A deep sigh escapes and drifts aimlessly away.

The quaking Aspen leaves applaud gently.

Take it in now and fill your heart,

for the morrow finds less beauty.

Absorb the wonder and timeless calm of the fall.

A cold and hard time lies before thee.
