The Secret Spot

I've kept a special and secret spot for you my love.

On the darker days,
when I cry deep within my sheltered exterior,
I reach to that secret spot for comfort.

As if teasing myself,
knowing the beauty I will see,
I open the box in the corner of my heart ever so slowy.

A beaming rainbow of love streams forth,
brightening the darkest corners of this gloomy room.

Your bubbly laughter pours through,
flooding me with an ever spreading joy.

Now, with your full love swirling around me,
I revel in your passionate love of life,
the dark fades to a brighter and more colorful sky.

I fill my yearning heart with your lust for life,
soak in your loving spirit,
and lift my voice to the heavens with thanks.

The box of love you created in my heart
shall never be torn from me.

I will share it with others,
even in death.
