KNIVES
Types of Knives: Bowie, standard hunter, heavy-duty lock back, filet, carver, boning, and paring.

BLADES
Material: D2 dendritic tool steel, Solingen steel, Norwegian laminated steel, 440C stainless steel, ATS34 stainless steel and 154CM stainless steel.

Lengths: Bowie: 5 to 10 in.; standard hunter: 3 to 5 in.; lock back: 3 1/2 in.; filet: 6  to 11 in.; carver: 9in.; boning: 6 in.; paring: 4 in. All blades are hardened to 57-60 on the RC scale. Most blades have been cryogenically treated. ("Deep Cryogenic Tempering" is a one-time process during which the blade are frozen in extremely low temperatures - minus 305 degrees F). This process, also applied to gun barrels, removes all the large, unstable particles of carbon carbide from the steel, transforming it to martinsite, which greatly-enhances the blade's edge-holding properties. Knife blades are flat or hollow-ground; straight, drop point, curved, or filet with a satin finish; professionally-sharpened; with or without thumb guard or bolster, thong hole, traction grooves and/or finger grips.

HANDLES
Dymond Wood:
Laminated hardwood (colored or natural wood color) impregnated with resin and processed under extreme pressure and high temperatures; impervious to water, oils, drying, and shrinkage. Gunstocks are also made with Dymondwood. Dymond wood colors we offer are: Rosewood Burgundy (reddish-brown), Heritage Walnut (medium brown), Cocobola (dark reddish-blonde), Charcoal Silvertone (black with silver streaks), and Cherry Wood (deep red).

Linen/Canvas Micarta: Linen (off-white) or cotton canvas (black or camo green) impregnated with resin and processed under extreme pressure and high temperatures; impervious to water, oils, drying, and shrinkage.

Natural Hardwood: Most often stabilized before being used for handle materials: we offer Olive wood (Western Europe), Rosewood (Central America), Cocobola (Central America), and Walnut wood (North America).

Natural Horn/Antler/Bone: Most often stabilized before being used for handle materials: water buffalo horn (Eastern Europe); elk, deer, moose antler (Trout Creek, Sanders County, MT); deer/cow leg bone, (MT) .

Lengths:
We offer handles in two basic lengths, with or without finger grips: "standard" size: 4 to 4 1/2 in.; and a smaller size: 3 to 3 1/2 in.

SHEATHS
Hunting and filet knives have accompanying sheaths sporting a belt loop which is included in the price of the knife. Kitchen knives do not have sheaths included. (If a sheath for the kitchen knife is desired, please contact TCK re: construction and additional pricing.) Sheaths for hunting knives are hand-crafted by TCK from 10 oz. cowhide. Sheaths for filet knives are out-sourced from 8 oz. cowhide. All sheaths are custom-fitted to each individual knife: dampened, form-fitted, fried, and dyed, then treated with three coats of Neetsfoot Oil (a leather softner and preservative) and one coat of Sno-Seal (a beeswax waterproofing product).
OUR MISSION STATEMENT

"Good-looking, Hard-working and Long-lasting..."

It is our goal to provide custom sports knives for the serious hunter and avid fisherman, as well as for the collector, that are a pride to carry, durable for several lifetimes, very affordable, and "Number One" in quality.

We would be extremely pleased to know that our knives have a place in personal knife collections, but it is our desire, first and foremost, that they be utilitarian tools which become an integral part of the owners and their lifestyles.

It is with heart-felt pride and a love for the knives, that we craft and share these timeless pieces of art, which, in their own right, are a part of who we are.
