Troop 3 Joining Requirements You are eligible to join troop 3 if: must have completed the fifth grade or be 12 years old is between the ages of 12 and 18 years old was a previous member of the Cub Scouts, and earned the Arrow of Light (not required, but optiuonal) To join the troop, you must meet the following requirements: Submit a completed Boy Scout application and health history, signed by a parent or guardian (available when you visit one of our meetings) Recite the Plege of Allegiance Demonstrate the scout salute, sign, and handclasp Show how to tie a square knot Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, the Scout Motto, the Scout Slogan, and the Outdoor Code Describe the Scout badge With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet "How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse and Drug Abuse" Participate in a Scoutmaster Conference Once all these requirements are met, you can become a member of the troop and start on the trail to becoming an Eagle Scout.
