In this lesson i will show you how to play a metal tune called Victory. So before we continue with this lesson click here to listen to victory. Each riff from this song can be heard in Midi so you can hear how they should sound.I´ve also added backing tracks so you can practice each riff with drums, bass and guitar. On each of these backing tracks the riff begins after 4 clicks.Lets start with the intro riff.

Listen to this riff slow. Then listen to the same riff in natural speed.

After the vers there is a small break (4 beats) sounding like this. Right after the small break comes the pre chorus.Click here to listen to this riff slow.Click here to listen to riff being played with natural speed.

Now try to play this riff over the backing tracks.Click here for the slow version.Click here for the backing track in natural speed. After this riff the vers comes again followed by the pre chorus and then the chorus. You may have noticed that the vers, chorus and this last riff share the same chord progression ( E - G - D ).Because of this you can use any of these riffs in the vers or the chorus. For example you can use the vers riff in the chorus. The last riff can be used in the vers and so on.Click here to listen to an example of this. For those who have problems with one of these riffs can for example use the vers riff as both vers riff and chorus riff.Hopefully you get the idea.

When you are done practicing each of these riffs you should be ready for the whole song. Click here for the slow version and when you are ready Click here for the backing track in natural speed.

The only thing left to say now is good luck : )
