Ranking 7.5/10

T Double D's fifth album is yet another club-inspired gangsta rap release. On Thug Holiday, Trick Daddy expresses his love for children, the ladies, money, drugs, and thugging. This man sure does love a lot of things.

Thug Holiday includes featured artists on 15 of the 19 tracks and nearly every song has a different producer. Normally, this would yield a weak watered down style, but somehow Trick Daddy manages to pull it off and work it to his advantage.

Trick Daddy scores big with 'All I Need,' 'Rain It Pours,' 'Rock N Roll Ni**a' and 'In Da Wind (Ride Out Mix).' However, he falls flat on several tracks, especially with the cover of Dr. Dre's classic 'Let Me Ride.' He also uses delayed overdubbing way too often in tracks like 'Gods Been Good.'

I really enjoyed this album when the production was on point. However, only half of Thug Holiday met this criterion. As such, Trick Daddy puts forth an album worthy of praise if only a few choice cuts had been left off.
