Welcome to the internet home of Triple L Pulling.  Our pulling team consists of myself, Jeremy, my brother Ryan, and our dad Jerry.  Based out of Midland, NC, we are members of the Piedmont Lawn and Garden Tractor Pullers Association located just outside of Charlotte, NC.

We have two tractors in the stable now, with the latest addition being a Cub Cadet 682 that debuted in the 2003 season.  Our other is a Cub Cadet 102 named Insanity, that started it all back in the late 70's.  They both pull in the 1100lb and 1200lb Pro Stock classes with the club.

Take a look around and let us know what you think.  Check out our
photos, sign our guestbook, or drop us an e-mail if you like.  Be sure to check out the PGTPA website to stay up to date on where you can see us in action.

Up next, we head back to the Candor Farmers Market for our 2nd pull with the Candor VFD.  Come out to see Insanity and the 682, join in the fun, and make sure to stop by and say hello.
Insanity is the one that started it all.  Our dad bought this Cub Cadet 102 used in the late 70's, bolted in a stock Tecumseh OHV 18hp engine, and took to the track.  Over the years, that Tecumseh won many pulls and trophies as it became more and more modified.  As with all things, its days were numbered.  With the small cubic inches and lack of aftermarket parts, it had seen its day come and go.  That very same Tecumseh block that started it all 20 some odd years ago, was finally retired this past winter after one final run during the 2003 season.  Amazing that this block, despite having thousands of passes down the track on it, is still in the shop, ready to bolt in and pull if needed in an emergency.

Exit Tecumseh, enter Kohler OHV 18hp.  This engine has been slightly modified, and even underpowered, has been making some very nice runs this year. For the 2005 season, we hope hope to have it fully modified and running alongside its big brother below.  We hope to get this tractor running back up front where it belongs and deserves to be.

Cub Cadet 682
New for the 2003 season was our un-named 682.  It houses a highly modified Kohler OHV 18hp under the hood.  It wasted no time in making itself known, with a pair of 2nd place finishes its first time out at Rockin K Ranch.  At the Denton pull last season, it won the 1100lb Pro Stock class and was looking to make a run for the points championship in the 2nd half of the season.

However, it wasn't to be, as ignition bugs killed any chance at a points championship for the 2003 season.  Finally straightened out, it did come back around to its old self towards the end of the season.  Although too late for 2003, it did help to brighten up the outlook for the 2004 campaign.

So far in 2004, after a disappointing start to the season at Rockin K, the 682 is running strong.  With 4 wins on the season, and numerous 2nds and 3rds, the 682 has placed itself towards the top of the points standings.  Unfortunately, some problems caused us to miss the last pull in Oakboro, so we'll have our work cut out for us if we still plan on making a play for the 2004 title.  With 3 pulls left, it currently sits in 3rd in the standings.  Sitting 29 points in back of 2nd place and 49 points out of first, we'll definitely have to add to those 4 wins down the stretch if we want to come away with the championship.  The guys are still in high spirits, as despite missing the one pull, the 682 is again running strong, and is always capable of pulling off a string of several wins in a row.
