Just a minute's walk from the Tower Hill tube stop, and approx 3 minutes from the Tower Gateway DLR, you'll find this flat the ideal London base from which to explore London! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: Due to the flat's proximity to the tube station, you can hop on and quickly be near any major attraction in central London: Buckingham Palace, Churchill's War Rooms, Whitehall, Parliament, Big Ben, Kensington Palace. There are many pubs and restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk. The Hung, Drawn and Quartered Pub is just across Great Tower Street next to All Hallows (church). If that one doesn't appeal, there are 3 other British pubs, a French restaurant (Chez Gerard), and an upscale restaurant (Foxtrot Oscar) within a lazy 1 minute walk. If you're willing to walk a bit further, you will find a seemingly endless supply of restarants. One not to miss is Dickens Inn (a former hanging ground for pirates) at St Katherine's Docks, London's best-kept secret! The docks also host a small marina and many quaint cafes and restaurants of all price ranges. Also nearby (meaning under 15 minute walk) is St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, The City (financial district), St Katherine's Dock, Shad Thames (riverwalk area with more restaurants and pubs), Sir Francis Drake's ship the Golden Hinde, the HMS Belfast, and the Globe. Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is a pleasant walk across Tower Bridge near Vinopolis, a wine museum with a lovely restaurant with wine tasting.
