Cyphaspis sp.

 

This trilobite has previously been called Otarion. It actually belongs to the genus Cyphaspis which is in the same family as Otarion. This specimen was prepared by me with a partially free-standing thoracic spine, sculpted on a ridge. It is from the Region Ma'der, most likely from the Comura/Morocconites layers at Offaten.
