| Our Story The Lord called our Zachary home to Heaven on October 19, 1995. His death was caused by a condition called a placental abruption. It happens when the placenta tears away from the uterus. There is no known cause for this but there are contributing factors such as high blood pressure and folic acid deficiencies. Our beautiful baby boy was so perfect. He weighed 1 pound 8.4 ounces and was 12 and 1/4 inches long. I had him by natural delivery and his daddy and I were blessed to be able to spend as much time with him as we wanted thanks to the wonderful hospital staff. I had an angel of a nurse who helped me to endure everything and to her we are eternally grateful. Thank you Donna from the bottom of our hearts. You will truly be blessed in heaven for the love and kindness you have shown to us and to others. I also want to thank my Lord and Savior, even though I don't understand why You chose to take Zachary home before we got to share a life with him, I know that You love us and You love him even more than we could, and I know that You will reunite us with him again someday and what a glorious reunion that will be. Take care of him for us please and shower him with kisses and hugs until we can be there to do it ourselves. We have a photo filled with precious memories that we were able to take while we held him and we will cherish those forever. My heart aches and my arms long to hold my baby but I know that he sits with his Grandma Pat in the biggest softest rocking chair heaven has to offer. Someday I will have the chance to once again kiss his precious face and hold both my baby boys in my arms. He also has there with him, (we believe), a brother named Tristin, lost in an early miscarriage at 6 1/2 weeks. The Lord has blessed with us with 2 precious daughters since that time and God has been so good to us. For anyone who may be going through an abruption, prenatal complications, or the death of a child ... please feel free to email me. I'd be glad to share the information that I have found in my search for answers. If detected early and treated properly an abruption does not have to end the life or another precious child. |
