well its time for this post, lets look to the draft now and get a run stopper, i know we are going to pick 28th or 29th but we have great scouting. We found Doss and Stricklin in the second and third round. lets see what develops in free agency too.

re

Josh Will iams need to go.
On that play, Williams was right in front of RB and went for pulling guard.
If he had stayed the RB would of run right into him.

I've never liked her either. Scioli and Bratzke are toast. Sounds like Harris is done. Any LBer but Thornton ain't worth nuthin'. I wouldn't pay Vanderfifth 1.6 next season. If Meadows has to go, so be it.

we need guys who are going to be physical, smash mouth defenders and when have that in Doss, Big hit David Thorton, Dwight Freeney, and Donald Strickland. Drees is not the big hitter those guys, but man Drees is our best coverage DB and we missed him today.

adub..I swear we're brothers..you're reading my mind!

Keep Freeney, Thorton, Doss, and Strick. The rest must EARN their spot.

Bye to: MORRIS, Williams, Chad, Harris, Washington (UNLESS he'll sign cheap..b/c everyone knows he ain't worth nuttin'). Tripplett better have a BREAK out year next season..or he can get the ax!

Draft goes as follows:

FA DT not named Sapp.

1st-Vilma
2nd-trade up and get Vasher/Strait
3rd-BIG DE

What other DTs are out there??? I think we need to bring in a high-profile name on defense just to give us some edge. I think Sapp is past his prime, but he's better than what we have and he might play cheap for Dungy. Also, Polian hasn't done a great job in picking up bargain DTs.....anyone remember Christian Peter?????

Sapp is going to want 5 million at least. He made more than that this year. I think Bill is going to have a difficult off season.

Then that makes it an easy decision, no way do you pay Sapp that kind of money. But what if he decides to play cheap for a coach he loves and respects?? He wouldn't be a bad pick-up considering the alternative

No D

The Colts have no inside rush, and no inside support on the run. This defense went 7 and a half quarters without forcing a punt, gave up 5 consecutive 4th down plays.

Hopefully we can sign Manning to a deal that would allow some room under the salary cap to sign a good defensive tackle and a middle backer.

My fear is that the line we will hear from Polian is that we held the Pats to 1 TD, and this D is better then anyone thinks.

On the upside, this has been one heck of a fun run!!

Next year I believe we will be in the Super Bowl!!

re

Nice first post Chris.
We have not had a decent pass rush the last several games.
No inside pressure.
Big holes in middle.
Do not care if theyt are missing gaps,
Then by goodness sake, get some fricken players who will not miss their gaps.

I don't think we'll have a lot of money to throw around, so the team may look similar next year. I guess Meadows and Bratzke are casualties, although I like them both. I don't know what's up with Scioli, he plain disappeared this year. Williams and Morris are people we wouldn't miss much. We have to watch out with Bashir, because his shoulder problem could be chronic, and he may need sugery, which sometimes doesn't help in his situation. I was surprised how well Peko and #76 played this year. Clark will be back. We're still thin at LB - that will be an interesting scenario to play out.

We have a tough schedule next year and we draft low. That's why it's so hard to lose today, because you never know what next year will bring.
