What is religion?

In the dictionary religion is defined as a sacred engagement with that which is belived to be a spiritual reality. Religion can be defined in many diffrent ways. Religion is the practice of interacting with spiritual powers. These powers may be in the form of gods, spirits ancestors, or any kind of sacred beings can be regarded as external to the self, internal, or both. Religion is the term most commonly used to designate this complex and diverse realm of human experience. The word religion comes from the latin noun religion which is the observation of rituals and spirit reference. Religion is not an object with a single fixed meaning but an aspect of human behavior and human thought. Religions can be expressed in visual symbols, stories, ceremonies, dances, meditation and ethical laws. In a way there are forms of religion in every culture.
