| Welcome to the Trial By Stone home page. TBS is a solo metal musical project created by yours truly William Wardlaw. I started TBS in the summer of 2001 after my main band at the time broke up. I had a bunch of songs that I had written, but nowhere to put them. I purchased a drum machine and started working out the songs that became the first CD. TBS is heavily influenced by bands such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, and many other metal bands. I try my best to draw from the influences and develop my own original sound. You can visit the sounds link to hear some of the songs. I have began working with bands again as well. I currently play guitar in another local Death Metal band called APNEA.
