The first band to play was a band called Wisenheimer. These guys sucked. The music sucked, the energy on stage was god awful, and ripping up paper would be more entertaining then watching this band. Second was Crotch Rockets. While they weren’t as bad as Wisenheimer I wouldn’t stretch as far as calling them entertaining. They had a little more energy but overall they didn’t have it in them. The third local band to play was a band called Never The Less, and they were good. They had a lot of energy, they rocked musically, and were totally fun to watch. They have a cd coming out called "Through The Night" and most of the songs they played were off of that record. They are going on tour this summer and I highly suggest you check them out.

Then came the bigger bands. Starting things off was Luckie Strike, and boy did they start things off. Luckie Strike has a female vocalist and a female drummer with males on guitar and bass. Mel, the singer, has an outstanding voice and she gets on stage with a great attitude and is ready to have fun. They played some older songs, some songs off of their EP, and some new songs off of the upcoming record on Fastmusic Records. The only improvement they could have is the backup vocals, some of the harmonies were a little off. Then came Dynamite Boy. After falling in love with "Finders Keepers" I was excited to finally see them live. They had a solid set. One thing that Dynamite Boy does that not many other bands are able to do is have 3 guys singing at the same time in perfect harmony. They don’t do this all the time, usually they have one of the guitarists singing but when the other guys join in it is just beautiful. Dynamite Boy rocks on cd and rocks on stage, that’s that. Third was Beefcake. Beefcake is the stereotypical NOFX mock band. But while watching them play that didn’t matter. Their singer put on this big wig (no pun intended) that made his head look huge. Their music was really fast and aggressive, and it was good. In between songs the singer would get the crowd involved by telling them to "suck his cock" and encouraging them to throw bottles at him because they are "pussies". It was funny to watch and when Beefcake left the stage everyone seemed to be smiling.

Then came the main attraction, Bigwig. Bigwig totally rocked. They opened with the first two songs on their latest record, "Stay Asleep", and proceeded to play songs off of that record as well as their first record, "Unmerry Melodies". Bigwig gets the crowd into them with some of the things they sing about and the energy that they have on stage. They played "Carnivore" and "Freegan", both songs that joke about vegans. They also played a song that is going to be on their new record in October, and that song rocked. With Bigwig’s fast, metal style of punk and their performance quality, missing their show would be a sin.
