And so it starts here:
I am a student who has recently discovered, after 3 years of University level work, that I no longer would like to pursue the major of Fine Arts. "Why not just finish and get your degree?" You may ask. Well, it's not quit that simple. Not only did I not want to waste my time taking courses that did not pertain to my major, I did not want to have a Fine Arts degree! The only thing the Fine Arts degree gives legalalities to do is walk around a museum, taking random groups of people on tour, and lecture on this period of painting or the year of that era. (not very exciting) Hense Forth, I will not be a lazy bum and decide to not go to school at all. I have changed my major, even changed schools AND regions, to carry out my wish for a better career. A lot of times people will stick with the major even after they've decided they did not want to have the profession anymore through fear of disappointing parents for money wasted.
But Alas! They'd much rather you be honest with them instead of waste more money for those unwanted classes!

But I am in quite a predicament. My mother wanted me to continue with the Fine Arts degree, and my father was proud that I was making a decision for my life, instead of just settling. And I thank him for that.
So now I am here. Waiting for the loan papers to clear come September for the new year, new school, new major...
