Welcome to Traxx Music of Arizona

If you're looking for any specific item E-mail me and let me know what you're looking for. Don't forget to mention what format you'd like it on.
(I still ship 8-Tracks!)

Finally... A page for music samples and downloads here.

I do not sell directly on this page. To purchace music from me, visit any of these three sites. Look for "traxxmusicaz" in the used music sections.
GEMM   Amazon Marketplace
half.com

My international headquarters are now for sale! OK, so it's mine and my soon to be ex-wife's house, but it's more than either of us on our own can handle, so we're selling it. Finally a judge got involved to stop her from selling it without my input and streightned things out, and unless the former woman disobeys court orders, it's back to business as usual here.

I'm no longer selling on Yahoo Shopping, and will explain why here eventually.
I had a seller's account for months on grababargain.com, and never had a single sale. What a waste...

See Nirvana - Nevermind on half.com
When I listed items on yahoo, I was limited to only a few words of my own to describe them. When I listed Nirvana - Nevermind, I wanted to say so much more. half.com, surprisingly, allowed me to much more adequately describe my copy, complete with an extra picture.

It's occured to me that in spite of the fact that this site is just one page, it's managed to become as much of a mess as my confusing and labrynth-like personal page. Initially I was going to use this site to have direct links to the music I sell online and provide additional information about the music and artists whose music I sell. I still intend to put something togther like that, and when I do, It'll be here.

...a little history...

Ever since working at Zia Records in Tempe, I've discovered I have as much of a passion for selling music as I do for collecting and listening to it. Since then I've sold a lot of music to the various Zia Records locations as well as to friends and freaks at The Fine Line, The now defunct Velvet Tea Garden, and in my taxi. I became known as Dan Dan, the guy with the cool music for sale in his backpack. In November of 2001 I took a big leap and put out my first consignment stand in a retail location at Hanson's Good To Go at 22nd St. & Wilmot in Tucson.
Hanson's Good To Go
In Janurary of 2002, I started selling my music online, starting with Yahoo! Shopping (which was then called Yahoo! Warehouse). After trying Yahoo! Auctions and being completely unimpressed with it, I started selling on half.com and GEMM in March. In May I moved my music to my new house at 717 E. McMillan Dr. in Tucson, and shortly after got married and started selling on Amazon Marketplace. June brought the addition of music displays in two more stores, Saguaro Express on Craycroft just north of 22nd St.
Saguaro Express
and Fast Break Market & Liquor at 1st Ave & Roger in Tucson. Both of these stores are combination convinence and liquor stores, and my CDs and cassettes were a welcome addition.

I'm now in two more stores!

You can now buy my CDs and cassettes at American Fuel at 1st Ave & Grant, which is open 24 hours a day.

American Fuel

Always a diverse selection of CDs and cassettes

Also look for my pillar of music near the cash register at the Chevron at Stone & Grant. I hope to have pictures of it up here soon, as well as the displays inside the other stores.
...what's in store...

Here are lists of what music was last in stock at each of my locations:
   Hanson's Good To Go
   Saguaro Express
   Fast Break Market & Liquor

If you'd like to purchace a specific title at one of these stores, E-mail and ask. Be sure to include the artist and album title, and if you want it on a cassette tape or CD, and I'll reply and let you know if I can have it there and when. If you're already in Tucson, why pay for shipping?

For those who arn't in Tucson who are ordering online, keep in mind that with all this local retail expansion, I have little time left to list my product online, so I have much more in stock than you'll see on any of the sites I sell on. On GEMM is where I keep my most unusual items, and I'm adding things as fast as I can to my inventory on half.com and Amazon Marketplace. I'm currently working on a database that will allow me to upload all of my inventory to every site at once, but for now that is a long way off. In the meantime, keep in mind that I literally have a house full of music, much more than I have time to list online, and am getting more every day. You can always E-mail and ask for anything! I accept secure online payments through PayPal and also accept all major credit cards through GEMM. GEMM Guarantee

I really can't say if a full-fledged music website or actual store is in my future. If any of those things are going to happen, you'll hear about it first here.

For now, the things I'm doing are working fairly smoothly aside from Yahoo shutting down the area I sell in with less than a week's notice. I suppose that's probably a good thing, since I always had problems with Yahoo, and could never get any kind of an intelligent reply from anyone there regarding any of them. When I first started selling there, I had some technical problems with thier site, and even more problems trying to get Yahoo! Customer Care to, well... care.

Rather than go on about these problems in my own words, I thought it would be more amusing and honest to simply post the last E-mail I sent them for everyone to enjoy. Here it is in it's entirity. Keep in mind it contains several layers of text inserted in replies, so the earliest corrospondance is towards the bottom. So are my most recent 'signatures'.

Sent around 730pm, Feburary 6th, 2002:

This really looks like another automated response to me, or at the very least, one in which no real effort was put into whatsoever. It also looks to me like no one actually reead the e-mail before replying to it. Can you please stop sending me form letter excuses and fix the problems on your site? Because of this nonsense, not only is the problem not fixed, but this e-mail has become quite lengthy. Please. Be a rebel and take the time to read ALL of it to the very last word before replying again. Think of the ">" marks as a reference on how many times each part of this e-mail has gone unread by Yahoo! customer care.

I find it very hard to believe that you've been unable to duplicate the problems I'm experiencing. I also find it impossible to blame this on either Internet Explorer 5.5 or my networked cable modem internet connection. Cookies ARE enabled. I've quite adequately and repeatedly described the problem in as much detail as possible as well as described the steps I've taken leading up to the problem. This problem ALWAYS occurs. Perhaps you don't understand English all that well, so I've attached a zip file containing two screenshots to more adequately illustrate the problem. Hopefully you'll then understand what I mean by product that I have listed for sale not showing up as for sale to other users. You'll see in the screenshot where I'm looking for the product, that I'm not logged in and am on merely as "guest". In the other screenshot, you'll see where that product that's not available is shown in "My Warehouse" as being "currently for sale". You'll also see that my clock is clearly visible on the Windows ME task bar and that those screenshots are merely three minutes apart. If you continue to be unable to experience this problem, please reply to this message describing how you attempted to experience the problem in as much detail as possible. Please include the steps you took leading up to not experiencing the problem, how often you tried it, and the exact results that you experienced. The information you provide me will help me to better understand why you're not finding the problem, so that you may find a solution more quickly.

In fact, it's become such a source of amusement, as soon as I send this, I'm off to post it to several websites, newsgroups and discussion groups. I would have much more enjoyed having my problem solved, but at least you guys are entertaining me this evening.

Ok, question. Does "Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90" mean Windows Me?
That's the operating system I was using.

And that again looked to me like an automated reply. This is the end of this e-mail. If you've read all the way to here, give yourself a cookie. Be sure that you have cookies enabled before you do this. Once again, I'm eagerly looking forward to your next automated reply.

I'm awfully curious if anyone at Yahoo! Customer Care has bothered to actually read any of that! Anyway, congratulations on making it through all of it.
