This was probably taken around Cobb Bridge, possibly in the area of "Tugboat", see the "Great Big Map" to find Tugboat.  It was really flat there.

We would spend three days out of every nine out on platoon sized sweeps.  Another three days at Tugboat.  And a couple of the nights we weren't out on a sweep or at Tugboat would be on an ambush.

July 13, 2000.  I was just looking at my diary, looking at the list I kept of the people that passed throught 1st Platoon when I saw the entry for Lcpl. Weaver.  He was sent to S-3 in Oct.  As soon as I saw his name I flashed on this picture.  I'm thinking he is the red head in the front.

November 1, 2000, just talked to Mike Weaver on the phone.  Turns out he's the red head in the back.

Was this taken at the same place as the picture above?  Could be, don't know.

Don't know what they are doing.  Is that a fish on a stick?

Sometimes, just for yucks, we would throw a grenade in the river to see if we could kill some fish.  I don't remember ever getting anything as big as this.  Maybe that's why it rated a picture.

From left to right: probably Gus Mann, unknown, unknown, John "Powerhouse" Mills.
