A day bike in the world heritage of Ayuthaya 02
         
  Ayuthaya, the socalled 2nd capital of Siam, was considered the kingdom the longest in our history. 417 years with 5 dynasties of 33 kings
  is so long. Many stories, folklores and facts,haunted in all the ruins and architectures, are awaiting for us to uncover. Come in and bike with
  us around Ayuthaya city which is honored by the Unesco, the World Heritage in 1991.

  the indented chedi of the famous Queen Suriyothai who protected her husband with her life.   the immensed wat Chaiwatanaram was built on the cremation site of the mother of King Prasatthong (1629-1656)   the plan of the main architecture imitated that of Angkorwat (eight prang surround in each direction to the main Prang)   though the Prang along the gallery are of the same layout as at the Angkorwat, each prang is designed slimmer taller to illustrate the fast and flexible move thai army over the awkward's of Khmer.   the real formal buddha image in royal attire was introduced by king Prasarttong.  
                     
  this Chedi and mondop is believed the memorial of Chaofah Koong (great son of king Boromakos) and is concubine (the forbidden consort of his father)   This indented Chedi was rebuilt during the period of King Boromakos to replace the Burmese style Chedi which was built by king Bayingnong of Burma as such to show the victory against Ayuthaya that time.   the monument of king Naraesuan the great, who announced independence against Burma after we lost our city to them the first time.   the last generation (and no more) of the village, who still make pottery their own ways. From the pic, she is making body of the pottery while leaving the bottom a hole.   Then another girl fill the bottom by hand and hit continuously to firm the bottom.  
                 
  another old lady make smooth of the internal pottery by using a round rock.   Wat Nah Phramain was an old temple during the early Ayuthaya period. It is one of a few temple in Ayuthaya which was not destroyed by the Burmese because they make camp to shoot the cannon to the palace from here.   the principal buddha in the main chapel is in royal attire. It was the popular design of the buddha during king Prasarttong.   This elephant kraal had been used to catch many wild elephants in Ayuthaya period.   Pakam shrine is the center of the elephant catcher society.
