Bangsaen, the classic beach on the eastern coast of Thailand

Bangsaen has been one of the most popular beachs for the local people for many years. Perhaps, it was even before the rise up of Pattaya which
was so far away when we drove along the old Sukhumvit road. Its popularity declined when many alternative roads were constructed to support
the Eastern Seaboard project. People flooded into the more beautiful beach at Pattaya rather than staying on the closer but dirtier and less
  beautiful beach at Bangsaen.

The city management team has done an excellent job to enlive the beach. The beach is cleaner. Beach beds are given zone and the rental price is
controlled. Walking lane is developed with electricity posts to provide light by night. The general plan of the beach now is more international
while the real thai beach atmosphere is still maintained.

The distinction this beach gains over Pattaya is about the story. The romantic tragedy of a lady 'sammook' who jumped down the cliff as such to
follow the death of her lover 'saen' can always touch people's heart.

The above factors in accompany with other attractions in the neighbourhood make this beach an alternative location for the vacationer to enjoy
  their holidays.
