American Shorthair
These hardy and strong cats were
brought over to North America in the 16th century, and are ancestors to
European cats. They were originally appreciated for their strength
and hunting skills. This breed has been recognized since the early
years of the 20th century.

They have
a strong body, and dense fur. They have a muscular jaw, designed
for killing prey. They are good hunters, and very curious. These
cats have lots of energy, and are very hardy. Their heads are round and
fairly large. Their large paws match their coat colour, they have
pink noses, and rounded ears.
