Rex
Rex cats first appeared in the 1930's and were regarded as abnormal. However, these cats soon became popular and now all three varieties are kept as domestic pets.

Several colour varieties are recognized

Coat Length
Very short

Type of Fur
The Cornish Rex has no guard hairs therefore it's coat is short and rippled looking. The Devon Rex can have all three types of fur, however, it is always curly and soft. The Selkirk Rex has loose curls on a thick coat.

Size
A thin medium build

Further Information
Rexs' have long legs and crinkled whiskers. Their heads are wedged shaped and they have large ears and oval eyes. Their coat when wet flattens and regains curl as it dries. They are very playful and make good pets.
