In England, there is no distinction
made between Chartreux cats and the British Blue Shorthair. The breed came
to North America in 1970 and is still very rare.

These cats have a muscular body
with large trapezoid heads. Their eyes are always round and orange in colour.
Their nose is dark blue, their tails are medium in length, and their paws
are rounded. These cats are gentle and quiet, and can become very attached
to their owners.
