Welcome to the home of the No-Name & Untitled Railroad

This site will keep you updated on the progress of my layouts created with Auran's Trainz program. As you can see, I spend much more time working on my layouts than my no-frills site :) Just the facts, Ma'am.

I've retired from the Trainz scene (for now), so I'll rarely if ever check my Trainzmaker email account again. I won't be able to offer any support for the NN&U RR, though I imagine some fans on the Auran Trainz forums might be able to help you with any problems. I had lots of fun working on my layout and sharing pictures of it with you on this site, and I hope you enjoyed them too.

I haven't been doing anything with Trainz since there are just too many other truly great games out right now, but hopefully I'll return to it again to start a new layout. If I don't answer my email, it's nothing personal; I just don't check my Trainzmaker account often these days.

Beta 2.0 of the NN&U RR has been released! Get it from Trainz Luvr under the outside content downloads section. Many thanks to Trainz Luvr for hosting the file. As always feedback on the layout is welcome. Be sure you check out the custom content item list included with the map or read it here.

NN&U RR Beta 2.0 is almost finished! I just need to add a little scenery, fix a couple signals, and test the heck out of it. Beta 1.0 was a mere six baseboards, yet I mananged to fit a lot into the layout. Beta 2.0 weighs in at twenty-two baseboards! Here's what you can expect in Beta 2.0:

*Highly detailed urban and rural scenery, including forests, hills, waterfalls and rivers, a small country junction, a big city with massive skyscrapers, and much more.
*Four cities and towns
*A double-track mainline
*True point-to-point operation, plus a loop for extending/altering the route or simply sightseeing
*Five separate industrial and agricultural spurs
*A port with a container unloading facility and industrial park (two industries with two tracks each)
*Two six-track passenger terminals, each with its own coach yard and engine facilities. One has a reversing wye, the other a turntable. Can't drive backwards with passengers in tow ;)
*Two big yards, one with ten tracks, one with eighteen. And that's not including engine servicing tracks, thoroughfare tracks, and the like.
*A behind-the scenes staging yard with twelve tracks, a loop, and crossovers to simulate a distant locale or adjoining railroad.
*Full mainline signaling and speed limit signs for running AI trains smoothly.
*All towns, yards, and stations are fully lit for night operation.
*Much more!

In other words, there's loads of operating potential on this one, and plenty of sights to see as you haul freight and passengers. To whet your appetite, I've posted over seventy all-new screens of the layout. Check them out below.

I've made a new tutorial, showing you how to create new skies for your layout.
