About us
Trailpartners -- Brevard Residents
for Greenways and Trails -- are a coalition of residents who support the
development of recreational trails and linear parks in Brevard County.
We comprise walkers, hikers, joggers, cyclists, and equestrians who want
urban, suburban, and rural trails to enhance the quality of life. We work
with local municipalities, homeowners associations, and other interested
groups to develop and promote trails in our community.
Why do we need trails?
Florida is a beautiful state, filled with
exotic flora and fauna, and blessed with great weather and lots of sunshine.
Unfortunately, it's these wonderful features that attract thousands of
new residents daily. Imagine living in a place where we don’t impact
the environment, instead using greenways as wildlife corridors, and using
trails that encourage conservation. Did you know Brevard County residents
use the trails to bike to work? Doing so is a great way to help reduce
traffic congestion. Imagine if there were a network of trails connected
throughout the county, and we could bicycle to work? In addition,
use of a trail promotes health and fitness, and allows families to spend
quality time together outdoors. |
