This site will be used to post hiker journals for long distance hikes (over 500 miles) on either the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail or the Continental Divide Trail. It will also be used to post hiker journals for hikes on the "regional" trails, such as the Long Trail, the Colorado Trail and the Arizona Trail.
Conditions Of Use:
Each hiker is responsible for finding a transcriber to post his / her journal, however, if you need help, one of our transcribers MAY be able to help.
No vulgar, racist, hate or threatening language is allowed.
To save space (which is limited by Yahoo), only one photo 50 - 100 KB in size will be posted on each journal. This will be an "introductory" photo, posted near the top of the journal.
Additional photos can be posted in each hiker's photo album at Yahoo.com , or elsewhere on the internet. A link will be posted from the journal page to the photo album, so that those reading the journal can access it with just one click.
Journal pages cannot be used for fund raising of any kind, and no commercial messages or ads are allowed.
Everyone should create a back-up copy of their journal. Yahoo is very reliable concerning files at their sites, however, neither Brawny and I (or Yahoo) can be responsible for your journal.
A choice of 3 backgrounds is available; brown marble (this page), white brick (Moxie's page) or white (no background at all).
