Professional Background: Genevieve graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan with a BFA in graphic design. An internship at MTV turned into a full-time position, but her love of design drew her to studios in Amsterdam, Barcelona and next to the award-winning studio Duffy Design in New York. Genevieve's artistic side continued to flourish and she quickly went from one to three-dimensional graphic design, working on everything from corporate identities and packaging to fine arts and fashion.
When the call from Trading Spaces came, Genevieve had yet to see the cool factor in just designing interiors. For Genevieve, you might say that this was her first "reveal".
Genevieve currently resides in Manhattan and works as a designer on a varying projects through her company, gg Studios. You can find her work just about anywhere, from a bottle of Tanqueray 10, a line of illustrated greeting cards, a line of blue jeans, to a kitchen in a home near you. Up next? Gen once based a room on an artichoke. She painted the walls bright plum color. As her photography project, she took photos of the family members and make chair covers marking their seats at the kitchen table.
