***BEST ENJOYED WITH ONE BOURBON, ONE SCOTCH AND ONE BEER.***

Rather ironic, indeed, that a radio station aired the day before Van
Morrison's birthday in 1997 a tribute broadcast to John Lee Hooker's
80th birthday, narrated by: Van Morrison. At the time, this recording
was subject to a tape tree. It was an anonymous fellow (you know who you
are) who made possible the transfer of the broadcast to CDR. This
broadcast is a touching and most impressive document of the friendship
of these two great musicians.

Also on the disc: an interview with John Lee Hooker -- who didn't know
in advance who his interviewer would be. The interviewer turned out to
be: his daughter Zakiya. John Lee speaks out about The Man as friend and
producer, Jimi Hendrix, Los Lobos, the producing of "Don't Look Back",
the Van-produced CD by the King of Boogie, and about what will be, once
he's gone ("When I'm gone, I won't be gone").
