Christmas Dinner - December 16th & 19th

Well I’ve heard of 8 course meals but never before have I attended a meal that had two parts held on two separate days. Vincent Hollis, our president, organized a lovely Christmas dinner, and because of a nasty snow storm on the day of the first meal only a few people showed up. The first meal was held on Sunday the 16th. The club members that braved the storm and made it to the dinner were: Vincent, Joan, & Jessica, Gordon & Patti Smith, Ray & Dorothy Chapman, and Roland & Melissa. Because there were so many club members missing Vincent decided to reschedule it for Wednesday the 19th. The attendance on Wednesday was much better with almost all the club members there. Those that attended are: Dave & Sylvia Forshener, Wayne Hansen, Murray Giddens, Ronnie & Lucy Wells, Jimmy & Wendy Wells, Kevin & Jennifer, Chandler, Paulette & Darcy Smith, Ray & Dorothy Chapman, Francis & Pauline Verstraten, Alec & Janet Jamieson, Vincent & Joan, Gordon & Jessica, and Roland & Melissa.
Many thanks to Vincent for the time and work spent finding a suitable restaurant (he even went to the “Red Chicken” on PEI), and organizing not one, but two lovely Christmas dinners. Thanks also to the “West Winds” restaurant for putting up with us, not once but, twice.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Years to all, from Melissa & Roland.
