Day 01 USA-Beijing
Fly to Beijing on deluxe wide-bodied jet plane with United Airlines, across the International Date Line.

Day 02 Beijing
Arrive in Bejjing in the late afternoon, transfer to the deluxe TAIWAN HOTEL(3N) at the city center of WANGFUJIN.

Day 03 Beijing
Visit the Forbidden City today. The Forbidden City is the largest construction complex in the world, it houses 9999 rooms. And where the Chinese Emperors handled state affairs for hundreds of years. Have another tour to Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square in the afternoon. Enjoy China Acrobatic Show in the evening.

Day 04 Beijing
The highlight today is to thrill at the Great Wall, the only manmade structure on Earth, which can be observed from the moon. Take a walk on the Sacred Path to the Ming Tombs and visit the famous Beijing Cloisonn¨¦ Factory. Enjoy Peking Roast Duck dinner in the evening.

Day 05 Beijing-Urumqi(Air)
Fly westward across the country from Beijing to Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Of all the cities in the world, Urumqi is the farthest from the sea! You are about to step on that mystical road where East meets West. Visit the famous local market of the Bazzaar and downtown of the city. A roast lamb dinner banquet will be served in the evening. Stay at Holiday Inn Urumqi(2N).

Day 06 Urumqi
Enjoy the approximately 70 miles drive to the placid Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), properly named for its steep green pastures, virgin conifer forests, and snowy mountains. The elevation is 6000 feet. We will take a cruise on the tallest lake of the world, enjoy the beautiful view of the snowy Heavenly Mountain Grassland.

Day 07 Urumqi-Turpan-Liuyuan (Bus & Train)
Take coach to Turpan, an oasis amid the desert, and renown for its grapes and honeydew melons. Visit the famous Karez Wells, and underground irrigation system that carries melted snow from Mt. Tianshan to the fields below. You will also see the ruins of the once prosperous ancient cities of Gaochang and Jiaohe. Of special interest is the Flaming Mountains locale described in the noted Chinese Classic, Journey to the West. Visit the Grape Valley and Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves in the late afternoon, travel to Dunhuang via Liuyuan by overnight soft sleeper train.

Day 08 Liuyuan-Dunhuang
During the Han and Tang dynasties, Dunhuang was a major point of interchange between China and the outside would-a stopping-off post for both incoming and outgoing trading caravans. Dunhuang is also a huge center of Buddhist art. In 1900 a grand and priceless discovery was made: hundreds of carvings, documents, embroideries, and paintings left by the ancient monks came up into the world. Upon arrival, walk on the Singing Sand Mountains, enjoy the scenery of the famous Crescent Moon Lake, and take a camel ride in the desert. Stay at Dunhuang Guest House(1N).

Day 09 Dunhuang - Jiayuguan
Today, visit the Mogao Caves-the World Art Treasure House. The cave is the largest and most well preserved treasure house of arts in the world. Then, take a coach to Jiayuguan, which was considered both the western tip of the Great Wall and the western boundary of the ancient empire. Enjoy the desert scenery from the Jiayuguan Fort and the overhanging Great Wall sleeping in the desert. Overnight at JIAYUGUAN GUEST HOUSE(1N).


Day 10 Jiayuguan - Zhangye-Wuwei (Bus)

Today we continue our Silk Road to Zhangye and Wuwai. Zhangye known as Ganzhou in the old times is located in the middle art of the Hexi Corridor. It had been traversed by Zhang Qian, an envoy from the Han imperial court to the Western Regions more than 2,000 years ago, Monk Xuan Zang(602-654) of the Tang Dynasty on his pilgrimage to India for Buddhist scriptures, and numerous traders, monks and scholars. Marco Polo had lived in Zhangye for a whole year. We will visit the Giant Buddha Temple, Longevity Temple, beacon Tower and Han tombs there. Overnight at Tianma(Galloping Horse) Guest House(1N).

Day 11: Wuwei-Lanzhou (Bus)

Our bus takes us to Lanzhou today. Lanzhou, provincial capital of Gansu, known as Jincheng in the old days, has a history of more than 2,000 years and was an important post along the Silk Road. Major sightseeing in Lanzhou will be the Zhongshan Bridge, ancient waterwheel by the Yellow River, and Statue of Mother by the Yellow River. Overnight at FEITIAN Hotel(1N).

Day 12: Lanzhou-Xian (Air)
Fly to Xian today, the city where eleven dynasties in the history once took as the capital. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower, Ancient City Walls and Gates, enjoy the Dumpling Banquet dinner in the evening.
Stay at deluxe Sheraton Xian Hotel(2N).

Day 13 Xian
See the Sightseeing of the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which is recognized by UNESCO as the eighth wonder of the world, then visit the 8000-year-old Neolithic Site at Banpo. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty show in the evening.

Day 14 Xian-Beijing
Fly back to Beijing today. visit to the Summer Palace. It is a famous resort of Empress Ci Xi, view the Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake. Stay at TAIWAN HOTEL(1N).

Day 15 Beijing-USA
After breakfast, board your homeward flight to the United States with an unforgettable memory of the ancient Silk Road.
