Welcome to our town:

We are located in Northern New York in St. Lawrence County.  We are the largest town in area in the county with two small hamlets-Colton and South Colton.  Our main industries are tourism and forestry.  The Racquette River, the third largest in the state, passes through our town.  Stretches of free flowing river alternate with six impoundments providing a variety of fishing and boating experiences.  The forest management roads throughout the area provide hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the winter.  Cycling, hiking, cross country skiing abound.  Come join us for a day, a weekend or a weeks vacation.
