June 29 - Depart
Overnight transoceanic flight to Copenhagen.

June 30 - Arrive Copenhagen (2 nights)
A warm welcome from our Tour Director at Copenhagen airport and transfers you to your hotel where we spend the next two nights. Hotel: Scandic Hvidore

July 1 - Copenhagen sightseeing & at leisure
After breakfast this morning we enjoy a guided sightseeing tour which reveals impressive sights such as the Renaissance Stock Exchange, Christiansborg Palace and the Little Mermaid - the statue inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's sad fairytale, among other highlights. After there's time at leisure to perhaps relax and get acquainted with Scandinavia's liveliest city, go shopping or maybe take a scenic excursion to North Zealand. (Scandinavian Breakfast)

North Zealand Riviera and Castle Tour
Enjoy the quaint scenery of the conservation heritage route of the Danish Riviera, passing through ancient fishing villages and modern marinas. Then through typical countryside to see Fredensborg Palace, summer residence of the Royal family before a visit to the magnificent 17th century Frederiksborg Castle. Here we will see the State Apartments and the Coronation Chapel. 300 (DK)

July 2 - Copenhagen - Stockholm (2 nights)
This morning we cross the Oresund to Sweden. From here we travel north through lush forests and meadows to the resort of Gränna at the head of Lake Vättern. Then we continue northwards to beautiful island-ringed Stockholm, Sweden's capital. (Scandinavian Breakfast/ Dinner) Hotel: Scandic Kungens Kurva (2 nights)

July 3 - Stockholm sightseeing & at leisure
This city is constructed on a maze of islands and criss-crossed by many bridges. Our guided sightseeing tour features the Royal Palace and City Hall. Later, with time at leisure, why not browse in the department stores for tableware and crystal or maybe visit Skansen Park? Then this evening, perhaps enjoy a candlelit dinner in Gamla Stan, the old town. (Scandinavian Breakfast)

Stockholm Grand Tour
See the Wasa, the 17th century Galleon recovered from the sea bed after more than 300 years and now displayed in an award-winning museum. Then on to Skansen Park, one of the world’s oldest open air museums to experience the Swedish lifestyle of years gone by. Later we take a stroll around the cobbled lanes of the medieval Old Town. 370 (SK)

Stockholm Panoramic Tower and Dinner
A visit to the viewing platform of the Kaknas Tower, Sweden’s highest building, will give you the very best views over the city and its archipelago. Then enjoy the special cuisine of a popular local restaurant with a drink included. 495 (SK)

July 4 - Stockholm - Gjovik
Our first stop this morning is at the city of Orebro before travelling along the shores of Lake Vänern, into unspoiled Varmland and past the city of Karlstad. From here we continue across the Norwegian border, following the foaming waters of the Glomma River to Lake Mjøsa and Gjovik for dinner and overnight stay. July 5 - Gjovik - Sognefjord (Ardalstangen)
After breakfast our day will begin with a visit to the Olympic town of Lillehammer. From here we continue on through the Jotunheimen Mountains to Lom, where we visit a stave church. Next we make our way Sognefjord, king of the Fjords, where we spend the night. We dine at our hotel this evening. (Scandinavian Breakfast/ Dinner) Hotel: Klingenberg Hotel

July 6 - Sognefjord at leisure (Ardalstangen)
A full day to enjoy the marvellous scenery on the glorious Sognefjord. Perhaps take an excursion on the Flam railway for views of magnificent waterfalls and mountains – or take a cruise along the narrowest Fjord in Scandinavia. Tonight we will enjoy dinner at our hotel. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Norway in a Nutshell
Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the spectacular Sognefjord, arriving in the tiny village of Flam where we take the scenic ride on the world famous railway – a masterpiece of engineering. Passing through a steep, narrow and beautiful mountain valley, the train proceeds slowly or even stops to allow the best possible views of magnificent scenery. 496 (NK)

July 7 - Sognefjord (Ardalstangen) - Bergen
We leave Sognefjord behind to travel through the mountains and reach the ski village of Voss. From here we continue our journey to the graceful 18th century city of Bergen. On our arrival an orientation tour features views of the Haakons Hall and Fish Market. (Scandinavian Breakfast/ Dinner) Hotel: Thon Bergen

July 8 - Bergen – Ål
This morning enjoy time at leisure perhaps to explore Bergen further. Then we will drive east across Eidefjord via the Voringfoss waterfall – Norway's most admired. Finally, we continue across the bleak Hardangervidda and via Geilo to our hotel in Ål.(Scandinavian Buffet) Hotel: Hallindal Actif

Grieg’s Home & Hanseatic Bergen
First a visit to the composer’s home, the source of inspiration for many of his masterworks followed by a guided walking tour of the culturally unique hanseatic wharf, including a visit to the hanseatic museum. A fascinating insight into life during the late medieval period. 260 (NK)

July 9 - Al - Oslo
Today we travel through the narrow Hallingdal valley to emerge among the trim farms of Ringerike. Then on past the Tyrifjord to Norway's capital, Oslo. Here our guided sightseeing tour shows us the Old Cathedral, the Royal Palace plus a visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park. The remainder of your day is at leisure maybe to see the Kon-Tiki raft, view the ski-jump at Holmenkollen or shop for ski-sweaters and silverware souvenirs. (Scandinavian Breakfast) Hotel: Thon

Oslo Special Highlights Tour
See the three original Viking longboats which were discovered in the Oslo Fjord, now displayed as a museum with artefacts from the same period. Also see explorer Thor Heyredahl’s famous Kon Tiki balsa wood raft and the Ra, a reed boat in which he crossed the Atlantic. Finally we visit the Polar Ship, Fram. 260 (NK)

Holmenkollen Ski Jump & Dinner
Enjoy Norwegian specialities at dinner in the traditional atmosphere of a typical local restaurant. Later we see the famous ski jump of Oslo from where there are magnificent views of the city and the Oslo Fjord. 460 (NK)

July 10 - Oslo - Gothenburg
In the morning there's time at leisure to explore the city further or do some last-minute souvenir shopping Then we drive along a scenic route along the Skagerrak back into Sweden. We arrive in Gothenburg, the country’s second largest city. An orientation drive shows us the city’s main highlights. Tonight you may wish to mingle with the locals at the Liseberg Amusement Park. July 11 - Gothenburg – Copenhagen
We drive along the coast of Sweden past Helsingborg and cross the Oresund to Copenhagen for the last night of our stay. Tonight, why not spend your last night in Scandinavia in the Tivoli gardens? (Scandinavian Breakfast) Hotel: Scandic Hvidovre

Tivoli Gardens and Dinner
Tonight we join the fun loving Danes for an unforgettable evening among the magic of twinkling lights and lively music at Copenhagen’s most famous attraction - the Tivoli Gardens! Dinner features traditional Danish food. 380 (DK)

July 12 - Copenhagen - Board your Atlantis Baltic Cruise or fly home
