In general Melbourne has mild weather most of the year. During winter (June - August) the temperature can range from 15 - 20 degrees Celsius. In summer though temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius. more detailed details on weather for each area can be obtained through the weather link on its Attractions page. In my opinion the best time to visit Melbourne is from December to late February, This is during Melbourne's summer when the weather is warm and many events are on around the whole state. Please note: at this time it is the Victorian school holidays.
