What to do in Brussels
Summer Holidays in Belgium
Eventhough, situated at the heart of Europe, Belgium seems little known to Israelis travelling to Europe. Generally, destinations from Israel are Amsterdam, London and Paris. Stays in Belgium are usually limited to a day or half a day en route to one of these three destinations. In Israel, Belgium is well-known for its beers and chocolates. But did you know that Jacques Brel, Magritte, Django Reinhardt, Eddy Mercks, Jacky Ickx were Belgians? Did you know that "the Dardassim" are Belgians, as well as Tintin and his dog Milou? And Bill Clinton can thank Adolphe Sax, the Belgian who invented the Saxophone.

Belgium has much to offer to Israeli tourists who have decided to spend their summer holidays in Europe.
The aim of this document is to show tourist professionals what a couple with children can do in Belgium during the summer months. We hope to convince you that Belgium is worth several days, whether it is combined with other well-known North-European destinations, or as a destination on its own.
