The Tosa Ken was developed in Japan to rule the sport of dogfighting. The native fighting dogs were crossed with larger imports to create an awesome gladiator with amazing athleticism accompanied with an unwavering determination to dominate it's opponent.
It was a true appreciation for this majestic warrior's background that first drew me to this breed back in 1992 which resulted in the acquisition of my first Tosa in 1994, Spring Slough's Brandy (now known as Matsu Kennels). Over the past several years I have been diligent to produce my own line of Tosas (linebred) with periodic outcrosses (ie: Touryu-Kai) to introduce fresh Japanese bloodlines. I strive to improve upon each generation while remaining true to Japanese standards.
I only produce 1 - 2 litters per year of which all puppies are pre-sold by reservation prior to their birth (early reservation recommended to avoid disappointment). Reservations are made with a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT (e-mail for instructions) to ensure a solid commitment to your pup. Failure to follow through on the purchase of your pup (as outlined in the terms of the reservation) will result in your deposit being converted to a credit ( no cash value ) which may be applied to any available pup from a future litter. This policy is an effort to ensure that all of my pups have homes waiting for them.
NO DOGS BRED, RAISED OR SOLD FOR ILLEGAL PURPOSES!
