Peerkana is a mid-level tech Commerce Planet, primary industry is agricultural, and whose major export is grains and produce for Peacekeeper use.

The dominant species resemble the Sykarans From Thank God Its Friday Again. Peerkana however is a much better place than Sykar, green and lush.

The Peacekeepers seem to prefer this species to maintain agricultural outposts. Unlike Sebaceans, Sykarans are able to withstand higher temperatures. Their melanin causes their skins to take on a reddish hue, rather than a brown or golden. The paler the Sykaran, the more “upper-class” they are.

The secondary, less populous and most likely original native species of the planet are the Sardeeth. The Sardeeth are large rodent creatures, 1.3 meters in height (4ft. 5 inches) ranging in carrying shades of buff, brown, and white.

Being a minor Commerce Planet, it has small spaceports--most of the outgoing grain shipments are automated. The Peacekeeper cargo transports, and on occasion a Leviathan orbit the planet, and the export is loaded onto the transports via workers then brought up on autopilot.
The Peacekeeper Regiment stationed and scattered throughout the planet has been there for over 50 cycles. Discipline fairly lax, they are more like backwoods sheriffs than hardcore soldiers

There is a troop carrier, and 6 Prowlers stationed at each port, all older models kept together a wish and several overworked techs. No long range scans, the incoming transports send out ident codes only, low security. No one checks for forged idents, why would they. Nothing has altered on Peerkana’s routine since the Peacekeepers took over.

The trade goods available are more domestic, than hi-tech, but the skills of a tech are highly valued. However, any sudden influx of Leviathan based technology would not go un-noted for long.

There are enough alien drifters, characters who ended up on the planet with no money and no prospects so just stayed. Some are Techs, of any species that drift from town to town picking up odd jobs.
One port, Keesdaana, has enough traffic so that new visitors would not be remarkable, and wink/nod deals are not uncommon.

Many of them are shady characters, who found this backwater to be an ideal spot to lay low.
One is Shenza, a Sardeeth who could be cast as Stuart Little's alcoholic older brother. Dirty gray fur, beady shifty eyes, Shenza is the guy everyone goes to for information. And star charts. Ones with PK outpost information.
He also seems to know, before the PK post on the planet does, who is wanted for what in the Uncharted Territories.

Fortunately, he does have something that he is desperate to have done, and does not trust any of the locals to do it. A group of bounty marked desperadoes however, he would deem have the skills to perform it.

Another is a Sykaran species crime boss in a nearby town named L’Tar. He is pale skinned, effete and sly. He owns a villa between Keesdaana and the smaller port of Feersaa. It is rather like a Spanish hacienda in its style and layout. This place is guarded with some moderate electronic surveillance and a mixture of Sykaran and Sardeethan guards.

The Peacekeeper commander is Commander Tolin Bron. He has a squad of 6 Peacekeepers who act as a mild police presence at Keesdana, but only to handle “offworlders”.

The head constable is a female Sykaran named Teernie a tough woman who is stricter and more active than Bron, is honest and acts as judge over most matters.

The local hospitality house is run by a Sardeeth name Chiksa, a plump sharp tongued female with lovely chocolate brown fur and her husband Arnst a taciturn gray fellow who is head “teamster” at a local loading dock.

The food supplies are running low, along with minor comfort items. The crew will have to determine what is needed, acquire it by trade or labor, without alerting the local Peacekeeping force. This is Farscape, nothing is ever as simple as it seems.

All Characters mentioned above, with the exception of Shenza..to be NPC'd by Mods are "Kleenex" characters an may be NPC'd to move storyline forward. Like video game NPCs they may have information or items that players may need. Information will be IM'd you as you play them within the scene.
