Francisco Pizarro had a tough childhood. Pizarro was the son of  the Royal Infanty Captain of Spain, while his mother was just a regular citizen of  Spain.   His parents never married so  he was raised by his mother's parents.
Pizarro never had any education as a child. He was an swineherd in his younger years because that was all he could do since small jobs required some education.  He herd pigs for about fifteen years, then moved to the West Indies to live with his uncle.
In 1509, Francisco Pizarro was sent to conquer many land of South America by Spain.   The captain was
Balboa, another Spanish conquistador, while Pizarro was the first mate.  The purpose for this expedition was to explore and discover possible new things in what is now called Panama and Pizarro along with his crew founded Panama City.
Next, in 1527 Pizarro went on his own expedtion to find if the
Incas was a true civilzation.  Since Pizarro was captain his first mate was his good friend, Diego de Almagro.   They sailed

all down the coast of South America until they finally found evidence of the Incas and gold. After, they sailed back to Panama where they made plans for a long expedition, which involved  a war on the Incas that would end with Pizarro becoming the ruler of Peru.
Therefore, after a few months a planning Pizarro and his crew believed they were ready to fight the Incas.  Unforturnately, they did not know how very powerful the Incas were. In war Pizarro lost many men and decied to retreat and go back to Panama.  Pizarro was not going to give up though.  Once again, he thought through another plan to conquer the Incas.     Then on his last expedition down to the Incas he brought with him an even lager army and many more supplies.  There Pizarro laid a  blockade around the city and wiped out the citizens.  While managing to capture the Inca ruler,
Atahualpa and kill him for the gold and silver they found.
Finally, Pizarro and his remaining men sailed down to Lima and Cuzco. There, Pizarro was killed by Almagro's son. The reason said was because he wanted revenge for his father's death, who Pizarro's half brother killed Almagro.

Before Pizarro died he was able to conquer Peru, Ecuador and Columbia for Spain.  This helped Spain expand and own many lands in the New World, which made Spain one of the greatest countries in the world.
