the Far North of NZ (Northland)!!!
Twin-Coast-Discovery:
Going maybe first to the Bay of Islands (East Coast)/Cape Reinga means returning along the wild West Coast and relaxing in the peaceful Hokianga
(more nature & less tourists)!

Travelling trough busy New Zealand means visiting the relaxing Hokianga with heaps of quiet attractions:
  • huge sand dune with sand-boogie-boarding directly into the sea
  • special atmosphere, timelessness, peace, lifestyle, colour contrasts, sensibility for the nature ...
  • walks, boat trips, fishing, beaches
  • not crowded
  • mostly finer and warmer weather than in other parts of New Zealand (if it rains in the Hokianga then it rains definitely on the whole North island) but if it rains everywhere then the Hokianga can have wonderful sunshine blink
  • original pub with original Kiwis beer (Macs, Lion Red,. Steinlager, DB draught and local beers)
  • you can see orcas (killer whales) from time to time

Thanks for this really challenging question:
Because you have a top view onto the Hokianga and the sand dune with the impressive colour contrasts you will fall in love as well like the Bernese who got trapped and never can leave again... it is a place to return again and again!
