Tooreen is a small village in the west of Ireland, western Europe. We play an ancient Irish field game called hurling. Hurling is widely recognised as the fastest field sport in the world. It requires extreme skill, agility, determination and courage to play hurling at the top level in Ireland. While the region in Ireland where Tooreen is situated is not regarded as a hurling stronghold, many people here are fiercely dedicated to its promotion. I hope to promote our club here, especially our campaign to develop a sports ground of our own to play this magnificent game.
