hello, my name is Carrie and i am currently a college student in Indiana. My curiosity has gotten the better of me lately and i thought i would look on the internet a bit for some family history! I am a Nasset also, my father is Mark Allen Nasset and HI father is Mark Aslack Nasset (currently lives in Toledo, Ohio, but born in North Dakota). My grandfather is Pete Nasset's brother, the one whose book excerpts are in your family tree. I have read that book, it is fascinating! I enjoyed your website, especially the genealogy page. I recognized a few names. I have ancestors from the Svalastoga, Berge and Bekkhus farms in Rauland, Telemark. When I was in Grand Forks last month I visited the family history library at UND and copie a few pages from the Rauland bygdebok. Since I don't read Norwegian I'm having a little trouble translating them but the names and dates are there. From the little I've been able to decipher there are some cute little stories about some of the people, mo t notably "Weeping Ragnild" and an old man called "Raske-salte-de" (something about salty oatmeal?) I'll have to see if there's a connection between our families---we might be related. By the way, I'm a displaced Minnesotan, now living in Kansas.

I like your site, especially your graphics. Wondering if the art work is all your creations and if so, how to you get them into your computer, by scanning? I found the pop-ups very distracting, however. As a matter of fact, I really do not like them. It would be nice if you would go the GeoGuide route somewhere at the bottom of your pages so the pop-ups would stop. . . .Just a thought.
