The secret to making money online is having a website. I know it sounds silly, but its true. I have been frustrated just like you on finding the perfect program to join, but the truth is the people who end up making $2,000 per day or $30,000 per month don't really tell you how hard they had to work to get to that point. Okay I know now you are excited and you want to know how I did it. Well if you read the meaning of affiliate then you'll know by now that I am one of google affiliates. The google advertising links on the top and the search are google affiliate programs called google adsence and google adwords. So I decided that the best thing I should do is become affiliates with well
known programs. I would have a website in mind such as Cingular wireless or
Verizon wireless and look at there affiliate programs. I would be taken to yet
another website such as Performics.com for Verizon wireless or Linkshare.com for
Cingular. At this point I was so excited because now I found a place to sign up
for different programs. Linkshare, Performics and Clickbank are programs that
are middle man of the merchants and affiliates. So quickly I signed up with them
and decided to put ads on google adwords so that I can place text and images ads
like the ones you see on the right and left side of this page and other websites
as well.
Okay years later after placing ads in different website I was not happy with the results. I was not making the amount of money that would give me good returns. I was wondering how other affiliates were doing it, but no one would give me their secrets. As an affiliate I was frustrated just like the model story above. Am sharing you my story to save you money so that you wouldn't fall into the same cycle I fell in.
I did some research and found out that there are affiliates who steal other affiliates ID numbers by using spywares and trojan programs. How a sale occurs is based on cookies that enter your computer with information that will correctly give you credit for a sale made with your link, but when someone has placed a virus in your computer to replace your affiliate ID with there's is not a fair business practice. I always believed honesty is the best policy. I know using sophisticated programs to steal sales is not cool.
I like e-commerce because I like the fact that I can earn money while sleeping, eating, jogging etc. I know you have heard all this before, but hear me out. I found the perfect program. One which you can become an affiliate and not worry about your ID getting stolen and you keep earning residual income from the customers you bring to your affiliate website. As an affiliate I would be very frustrated because I worked so hard in order to get a customer and the merchants would pay you a measly 1% or 5% of the sale. Merchants spend ZERO money on advertisings online. Affiliates on the other hand toil and sweat for merchants I just thought that was not fair and other affiliates would take advantage of hard working affiliates and steal IDs.
Don't get me wrong like love that fact that I went through all this experience. It was a learning process for me. I learned about programs such as google adwords, google adsence, sites such as Clickbank, Performics, and Linkshare. I learned that when one has a site everything on it is very important including the text that is on the pages because that helps your positions in the search engines. I learned content is very important.
