The single biggest problem we all have when building our projects is getting our team together, and making the thing happen!

BusIness to busiiness advertising
V.J.,

That's a toughie, and you're going to have to do some thinking. Whatever you decide, don't do the halfsies thing, when you are a capable, and well financed small contractor.

Look to a form of advertising that will give the end user more than just a name and phone number to call!  Large companies need to have detailed information at there fingertips to make decisions, and buying an add in the
Elite's Red Book brings you to the business buyers boardroom before you get there.

Most business today is done based on creating relationships rather than  calling "all cars" and getting just prices. There is a huge risk in taking a low price and not knowing the contractor and his capabilities.

To get into the selection process is complex and difficult to explain, so take it from me - someone who's had over 25 years of bidding, buying, and building the projects!!

Buy an add in the
Elite's Red Book   to make sure they know a little more about you other than a name and a number in some big book.

Good luck!

Hey Tony,

I have just gotten into the door of a developer in the area that has a rock solid reputation.

They told me my price was great, maybe too great, and that they would let me know soon if they would go to contract with me?

Weeks went by and I went to the job site and saw my competition starting work. I thought for sure I had the job!

Little did I know that the builder was uneasy with me and the proposal I offered. I inquired as to why and got an honest answer  - they didn't know who I was and where I came from, but hang around a little and just maybe I'll pick up some work now that they know I exist.

What can I do to advertise, and give the buyer some good information about me and my company before I get to the door?

Thanks

V.J.
