Career Objective
To achieve novel results
pertaining to research works in the field of Fluid Dynamics as well as
Electronics and to carry out fundamental investigations relating to
Engineering problems of practical importance.
Personal Biography
I have been in National
Institute of Science & Technology, Berhampur Orissa since October 2003.
Originally I am from West Bengal.
I was born in small village, Chandpur (Berhampore, Murshidabad, a town
close from my native place, on 31st August 1974). I studied B. Sc.
in Mathematics (Hons) at
Kirshnath College, Berhampuore (Calcutta University) and did my Master degree
in Applied Mathematics from Jadavpur University (1998). Then I took the
admission in M. Tech Atmosphere Science at Calcutta University but ultimately
I discontinued M. Tech and I took the admission in Ph. D. course at IIT
Kharagpur in 1999 under the supervisor
Prof. J. C. Misra. I worked with Prof. A.S. Gupta ( INSA Honorary Scientist)
in the field Dynamics. I was awarded BOYSCAST FELLOWSHIP by India Govt. for doing POSTDOC in Germany. I was working at Institute of Fluid Mechnaics, Erlangen Germany from March 05- March 06.
Research Interests
My research field is Fluid Dynamics. Especially I am
doing the work on Fluid Dynamics, Magneto hydrodynamics, Stability of Fluid
Flows and Heat transfer in Fluid Flows. I am now associated with Prof. A. S.
Gupta and am doing work at Centre of Theoretical Study, IIT Kharagpur. Title
of Ph. D. Thesis is “Some Problems on Momentum and Heat Transfer in Flows
of Electrically Conducting and
Non-conducting Fluids”.
Teaching
In the academic year 2004/2005 I am teaching the following
courses:
Mathematics Quotation
As far as the
laws of mathematics refer to reality,
they are not
certain; and as far as they are certain,
they do not
refer to reality
