Here are my parents and half of my grandparents (mother's side) and something about each.
September 23, 2000: This is where it all begins and ends, with the Wondering Jew, my mother Lois, in Wakefield, Rhode Island at the Tuckertown Volunteer Fire Station.
April 4, 1954: This picture shows my grandather Edward Robinson on the left and my father Lester Schoenewald (now Kurt Goering) on the right. Edward was my mother's father (where I get my middle name) and was a special man dedicated to raising his two children. My father is somewhere in Pennsylvania, but we have had no contact in over 30 years.
This is my mother's mother, the late Ruth L. Bodin. Ruth was, like my father, far less interested in raising her children then with other things. She died from cancer in 1982. I can say I don't have one pleasant memory of her.

This is my mom, Lois, when she was maybe 4 or 5 (which would be about 1940). She had only one sibling, a brother, a preoccupied mother, and a doting father. This picture was taken at a row home, somewhere within the city limits of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
August 1957: A svelte and sexy Lois at age 22, just weeks after having her first child (Nancy) in Ocean City, N.J. With her is another lady we always called "aunt Alice," even though she is really only a long time friend of my mother's from their childhood in Philadelphia. Alice and her husband, Wink, were another couple that never failed to come to our family's aid.
