From Fantasy To Reality The president of our club has selected 44 images of my 'artwork' collection for you to enjoy. And since I've created 225 pictures with another 80 on the way some time in February, his job wasn't easy. (but it don't take much to entertain him, anyway). Several years ago, we started playing around with a new paintbrush program and a few pictures. Tom amazed me by essentially removing a girl from a photo and replacing it with more of the background to give it the illusion of the girl never being there. It amazed me because I would have kept the girl and got rid of the background. Anyway, I started collecting comics and non-sport cards and noticed the females were drawn with very little on. So with the same program, I finished the job. Then I picked up a Wildstorm card set at a show and was impressed. It featured Wildstorm characters drawn with a real photo background. I think you get where I'm going with this, so I won't bore with anymore details. If I remember right, the following images were created within the last couple years, so you are seeing some of my better attempts. Is it copyrighting? Most likely. But for anyone who has surfed the web would know that I'm not the first. Is it pornography? Again, most likely. But I at least tried to keep the integrity of the original pictures and give it a Playboy quality image (no men or x-rated action). Is it art? Well... if they can hang elephant dung on a wall in a New York museum and call it art, then I guess it qualifies. But that is for you to judge. Enjoy and send your comments, good or bad, and perhaps we'll post more. Thank you R.M. Northern Lights Astronomy Club, V.P.
