The Phonathon is just one of the organizations that keep communications
between UT and alumni active and has been generating funds for the University
of Toledo for years. UT Phonathon has been collecting donations and
gifts towards the University to benefit each individual college and
UT as a whole. Most patrons donate on a yearly basis and it's Phonathon's
job to continue a monetary alliance between alumni and UT, as well as
keep our colleges and programs financed. Under the supervision of Matt
Resar (above: bottom row, far right) the Phonathon averages about $200,000
per year for the university to spend and is the highest fundraising
group for UT. This year alone Phonathon has raised $146,132 having covered
just 4 of the 9 colleges to be contacted. Mr. Resar employs students
to contact alum, keeping the bond between alumni and students alive.
