11.08.2005

And so, the kick-off of the Premiership is nearly upon us, but being one of the Premiership's TOP FOUR teams, we have obviously started our season prior to the majority of English clubs, with our game against Villareal.
A lot of fans were very disappointed, but despite the result, I'm pretty upbeat after it. The way the lads played showed me that we can do well, whether it's in the CL or the UEFA cup, and he performances of certain players makes the forthcoming Premiership season look very bright!

Oh, and this year there WILL be match reports!

I would like to welcome Phil Neville to the club. I couldn't quite believe it when he signed for us, but fell in love with him on Tuesday night. My expectations WERE very HIGH, and he still managed to exceed them. His long passing was superb and he can cross like any top notch winger.
Oh, and he looks JUST like my friend Greg! If you know anyone who looks like an Everotn player then PLEASE e-mail me a picture as I'm thinking of starting up a new feature of look-alikes. (Seeing as I also have a friend who I have managed to mistake for Nigel Martyn...)

Anyway, new features on here include the latest in fan clubs, "Sandro's Socks" which is obviously for fans of Sandro... and his socks, and then there's "Ask Alessandro". where the Italian genius will act as an agony Aunt...  He's been getting a lot of stick recently and I for one DO NOT agree with it because I think he was top class last season and on Tuesday and I believe that if we back him, he can do EVEN better this year. Contrary to popular belief, he IS the quality Everton needs and so if you agree, please join!

15.6.2005

Sorry for the lack of updatage since March! Shocking isn't it?!
Well, exams are over now, so I'll be able to concentrate on this site a wee bit more... or hopefully a LOT more!

What can I say for the season past? I'm prouder than words can convey of my lovely Blue boys!

Click here for my season review.

David Moyes deserves a REALLY big hug from me, and if he's not careful he's going to get one!

Obviously we need to bring in some new faces in the summer to join us on our European tour, and I'd like to welcome fellow Welshy Simon Davies to the club. So, er, WELCOME! Croeso i'r clwb Simon Davies!!!!

More important that new players however, is securing the services of those who helped us to finish 4th. I'm excrutiatingly happy to say that my little love muffin Leon Osman has already signed a FOUR YEAR deal, and my favourite Scottish left back has signed a 3 year deal. Optimistic as I am, I must admit that I was worried about both of them, what with rumours and their sailly agents saying they'd go... but now I can keep my Osman shirt and FINALLY get Naysmith on my latest one. (I asked for a Naysmith shirt for my birthday 2 years ago and my Mum said "No, he'll probably leave." Whose name did she get instead?!?!?! All I'll say is that he looks like an ogrewho eats too many pasties...)

Thanks Ossie and Gaz- I love you both!

Dunc has agreed one (woop woop!) as has Weir. (Oh, the many Scots.... yum!)

Sandro, Steve and Stubbsy have yet to agree new deals, and I'll cry if any of them don't. PLEASE don't leave me!!!!!!!

And Arteta talk are ongoing. (Please sign him!)

30.3.2005

HUGE apologies for not having updated this site in such a very long time! I have been tres busy with boring things like school work and have somewhat neglected my Toffeetastic duties.

Since last updating many things have happened within our great club. My good friend Nick has departed for Plymouth Argyle (ironically after knocking them out of the FA Cup on his last appearance for the Blues). Bye Nick! I'll miss you loads and I wish you'd been given more of a chance to fulfill your potential at Everton. Good luck anyway.
We've signed our first ever Spaniard in Mikel Arteta- which I think is just great because now I have somebody to speak Spanish to when I go to Goodison! We've also signed Guillaume Plessis (who I can speak French to....as he is indeed Fremch). We've won a few games, drawn a few and unfortunately lost a few too, but I won't remind us of those games....

By the way, I love James Beattie now because he sent me a signed photo which was very lovely of him I must say. Mr Carsley sent me NOTHING when I sent him a birthday card, but he is forgiven because I know he's still trying to get over the loss of his identical twin brother.
Oh, and I broke my thumb, which wasn't very nice and has nmothing at all to do with the club, but I thought I'd slip it in anyway!

So, we face Kevin Campbell FC on Sunday and we need all the optimism we can get during the run-in to hold onto 4th. (Or, if we're really lucky, Arlsenal might slip up big time and we culd get 3rd.... and if we're even luckier, Man Ushited could screw up and we could get 2nd! The title's gone unfortuntaley.  Poop.)
Anyway, don't forget Watto's birthday on Friday!

9.1.2005, Night-time

Today, it was announced that my favourite player, SUPER Kevin Campbell, saviour and general "Cool-dude" of The People's Club, Scorer of many goals past many teams, Everton's first black captain and number 9, and my best mate and Uncle-type figure, will soon be leaving The Blues.

I am VERY upset at this news. I understand that the club is saving money and that he is, as many so have eloquently put it, "Surplus to requirements", but I'm still very upset. After 5 and a half years, my favourite player is leaving...
So, as I did with Rhino, I'll be making a tribute page to a true Blue legend.

Obviously Kev's departure comes as a result of the signing of Mr Beattie. Now, I don't want to blame Mr Beattie for Kev's departure or anything, because it's not techincally his fault....

Anyway, welcome to the People's Club James, I hope you enjoy your stay, but I should warn you that you have a MASSIVE ammount of work to do if you plan on coming anywhere NEAR Kev Campbell in my estimations.

9.1.2005

Happy new year Blues!
Well, it's been rather up and down of late hasn't it???
Dunc was a silly billy last week and I hope Moyes punished him severely... I'm sure he won't do it again. (No, I'm lying, he probably will!)
As far as games go, Charlton was unlucky, Spurs was embarrassing and Pompey was the best I've ever been to!
The Plymouth result was expected, but I must say I was SO happy to see OsFadWick on the scoresheet!  Chaddy must have the best Goals/Games ratio at 1st team level at the club! He always seems to score when he comes in doesn't he? They don't call him "Jammy" for nothing you know...

I was also VERY happy to see Super Kev start on Tuesday. I thought he looked as if he hadn't played in a while at first (which he hadn't...) but he did superbly well in the 2nd half, holding the ball up well and linming up well with Ossie. The rumour that he's joining West Brom has upset me greatly, he can't go before his contract runs out, or that means that Tuesday was his last game!!!! I gave him a hug before and after the game (as I did with almost all the lads!) and he didn't seem too happy. :(

Oh and we signed one of the best centre forwards around... not bad eh??? I'm so happy because I'v wanted us to sign him for YEARS! In fact, back in the days of liking Shrek (Eurgh!) I still said I thought Beattie deserved to be in the England squad ahead of him.  However, Mr Beattie is in trouble because I waited outside GP from FOUR hours before KO on Tuesday, to ensure I met him, and the cheeky so and so snkeaked past me! Super Kev would NEVER do that...

Anyway, welcome to the People's Club James, I hope you enjoy your stay, but I should warn you that you have a MASSIVE ammount of work to do if you plan on coming anywhere NEAR Kev Campbell in my estimations.

23/12/2004

MERRY CHRISTMAS BLUES!!!!!
Flipping Heck, the last few weks have gone so quickly!!!!!! Time flies when you're beating the Shite doesn't it?
Anyway, after stuffing their faces with turkey (unlike me...) our wonderful Blue Boys will take on Shiteeeeeeh on Boxing Day at Goodison. We will win and we will go second and Chelsea WILL lose and our Title race will become slightly easier.

Anyway, here's wishing you all a very merry Christmas and I hope that wonderful man with ginger hair who is dressed in Blue will give us all the present of three points on Sunday!

Oh and one last thing, PLEASE think of the turkeys this Christmas!!!!!

5.12.2004

Oh, this is so much fun! How I love watching all the pundits get it wrong week in week out. Every week, they all predict that our bubble will burst, that the team "Punching above their weight" will finally cave in and go back to mediocracy.
I find that SO amusing... They talk as if us winning games is simply disgusting and we should stop if we know what's good for us. "Punching above our weight" my arse!

We showed notloB a thing or two yesterday eh?! I don't know what Big Sam's complaint was. If there's encroachment the free kick MUST be taken again! A lot of decisions did indeed go our way... but that's only because there never much doubt as to who had fouled whom! Ivan "Gypsy" Campo was fouling players all over the place and N'Gotty was VERY lucky not to see red following his disgusting jump onto Tommy's knee. I thought the notloB players made Webb's job all the more difficult by pestering him after EVERY decision made. Our players just walked away, but Gary "the giraffe" Speed and his ugly friends were still crowding the ref after that magical final whistle... he was lucky Elvis was there to protect him!

Anyway, they can complain all they like- we got the 3 points so all we can do is respond the mature, adult way and say "Nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah!"
I mean, it's hardly as if we're Man Ushited and referees give ALL decisions our way is it?! Face it notloB- you lost, we won, we're gonna win the title and you're gonna have to make do with 2nd place this year.

Anyway, the best day of the year is fast approaching and those of us who are unable to go to Goodison Park will be glued to our TV's all day as we watch  Europe's finest take on our dear friends from across the Park... Liverpool. (AKA The shite.)

26.11.2004

Aha! Only one month until Boxing Day!
We face a tricky trip to St James' Park on Sunday. Well... I say tricky- at least we're not playing them at Goodison!
Does anyone else find that they look forward to away games more that home games at the moment?

The controversial idea of a shared stadium has surfaced AGAIN today. I must say, I'm completely and utterly undecided. I LOVE Goodison more then anywhere else in the world, but I can see that we need a new ground. I HATE liverpool more than any other club in the world (though Man U are coming incredibly close...) but I do recognise that financially, a shared stadium would be very sensible.
What it all comes down to is "What colour would the seats be?"

Anwyay, away from that... The Blue Room today bid a tearful farewell to Big Z (Zoltan) who has left us indefinately for pastures new.
Hopefully, out good friend will get a new job with internet access readily available and be back to run th "Anti-Kilbane and Christmas Club"  very soon. (Disapproving as I am of such a club...)

Here's to 3 points come Sunday!

21.11.2004

Today is the 10 year anniversary of that memorable 3-0 win over the red shite, and Dunc's first Everton goal!
Appropriate, as he scored the decisive goal against Tomasz Radzinski yesterday! (I could refer to them as Fulham, but it's so much more satisfying highlighting the fact that Tomasz Radzinski's "Better" team lost to us.)
Honestly, that was the result I've been wanting more than anything since before the season started. The team who are "Struggling against relegation" and have a "useless" striker in Marcus Bent and a manager who "Can't make decisions" beat Tomasz Radzinski's fantastic Fulham side who will surely be playing Champions' league football next year...
Thanks boys- for
a) Winning
b) Dancing round the Canadian turdbag and making him look REALLY crap
c) showing him that of you mess with Everton, you will be made to look like a complete tart.

Anyway, I'm busy doing a page about my mate who's going to be Toffee Lady very soon, so check it out!
Oh, and I've added another dream to my dreams page.

On a different note (LA!) I've had most of my photos back from my last trip to Goodison. They're scattered across the site currently, but if you want to see them all together, go to Dixie's MSN Group, Evertonians.
26.10.2004

Today is the birthday of one of our Blue Boys, Nick Chadwick, who I am sure will be scoring lots against Preston tomorrow!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK!

So, Saturday was a bit good wasn't it?! Like we did against Bristol, we somehow managed to lose a 2 goal lead after half time... but vanquished Norwich's hope of sending us home with just one point.
God, we're good. Title here we come I say!

Oh, and whilst it's not that great or anything, we're also going to win the Carling Cup, seeing as it's the only piece of silverware that's managed to evade us.

Also, I've now started a Dreams page, which is a VERY amusing read. It's basically whre I recount all my weirdest Everton related dreams. Trust me- they're so weird you'll cry with laughter!

12.10.2004

This week is a very sad one for Evertonians and indeed the entire country, following the death of Evertonian Ken Bigley.
I'm sure that Saturday's minute's silence will be impeccably observed by all at Goodison Park. (Unlike the awful one at Old Trafford last week.)

It looks like Timmy Cahill may be fit for Saturday- Hoorah!
I've added a few things to this site by the way, including 2 new songs (one for Timmy Cahill and one for Sven.)

25.09.2004

I went to my first EVER(ton) away game on Wednesday (my birthday) and OMG was it good or what??

After totally dominating the first half, we let go of a 2 goal lead and just couldn't keep the ball. The absence of Ossie (and Grav) was somewhat noticable.

After a VERY tense 2nd half, we pushed and pushed in extra time. (Which shouldn't have happened, but Faddy's lack of confidence showed when he hit his penalty straight at their 'keeper.)

We all got full value for our money as the game went into penalties. (Taken at the other end, WITHOUT a coin toss I might add...)

After missing the first , we feared a repeat of Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, but Stubbsy, Cahill, Super Kev and Carsley made up for Watto's tame effort with 4 superb penalties to keep alive our Cardiff dream.

Dunc was superb, as was KC when he came on, Joey showed that he's the best in the world, again, Ossie was amazing 'til he went off and Carsley continued to play like the David Beckham of old (as in the one that scored penalties).
Wrighty made a good comeback and Stubbs was untouchable.

Nobody played particularly badly, but Faddy had an off and playing left wing left Gaz exposed on too many ocassions. Not that it mattered coz we got the win.

Anyway, the next Blue Birthday is Stubbsy, October 6th, so DON'T FORGET!

16.09.2004

Today is Big Nev's birthday! Hoorah! Happy birthday Big Nev!!!!
I reckon he's having a TEA PARTY! coz he likes his tea doesn't he?

Saturday is Li Tie's birthday... so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LI TIE!

Anyway, looking back to  last week's prediction, was I right or was I right?! We kicked Shity's sorry arses even though our lad was sent off for doing what is now known as "The Cahill".

I think it's sick that our club should be on the receiving nd of a rule that could not even be made clear to the Referee's association.
You'd think that now the rule has been explained to the refs, they could just rescind the card. Nobody would blame Bennett for giving it, because he htought he had to... but not rescinding it now that the rule has been made clear is just not on, I'm sory.

I will not be happy until the Premiership's nicest six-pack is available for my viewing pleasure again. (I could just lok at all the photo's of last week I suppose...)

Someone who is HAPPY howver, is Joey Yobo. Despite crazy reports that he's unhappy with our "lack of money and players" and the fact that "He missed out on bigger moves, Joey is just frustrated because he doesnm't know where on Earth the media is getting this crap from.... but he IS happy. Make no mistake about it.

This week, I'm going to be daring and say a 2-1 win for us. (Last time I was in London during a match we won 2-1... but I don't like to think about it because it was that match on October 19th 2002....sob!
)

5.09.2004

Yet again, Emma is made to eat humble pie...  and Emma doesn't like it.
After months of quashing speculation and telling fellow Blues not to panic, Mr Rooney has gone and done what Emma thought he'd never do and signed for Man U.
I suppose the phrase, "When everyone around you is panicking and you're calm, you probably haven't realised the seriousness of the situation" is aplicable for me...
It was quite possibly the most upsetting moment of my life when I saw him standing there in that shirt... but even worse... with a Man U SCARF. I had to look away.
Barbecuing all my unsigned memorabilia made me feel slightly better. We warmed our hands around it whilst playing a recording of Z Cars and singing

Build a bonfire,
Build a bonfire,
Stick Rooney on the top,
Slimy Stretford in the middle,
Then burn the F&*%^*$g lot!

(Photos of the the barbecue will be available shortly on here..)

With Wayne and Van Nistelrooy playing together, the Shrek and Donkey jokes will be never ending. Similarly, the "Rooney 8 all the pies" jokes are sure to continue for quite some time...

Forgetting that though, tomorrow is Joey Yobo's birthday so, "HAPPY BITHDAY JOEY!"

I can't wait for the Man City game on Saturday. Seeing as we're on such a good run, David James is being a Calamity and our lads have a point to prove from last season, I'm sure we'll be firing on all cylinders, all guns blazing, scoring early doors, in the acendancy... and all the other cliches used by pundits such as Rodney Marsh......
Basically, I'm sure we're gonna thrash their sorrys arses!

23rd August

Oh my God, what a confusing past few days!
Saturday was absolutely brilliant, with the U18's winning against Cardiff (I was there! Click here for the match report!) and the first team showing what 10 men can do against Palace. (Click here for that match report...)

Then, RUMOUR had it that Blue Bill's investor was Russian millionaire, Boris Zingerevich. This was quickly refuted by Bill... so everyone decided that it was actually son of Boris, Anton Zingerevich instead. However, neither Everton nor Blue Bill have EVER named the proposed investor, so don't listen when Sky Sports News go saying that there's probably no investment at all, just because some ussian geezer says he doesn't think Anton can afford it and that Boris isn't interested...

For all we know, the investor isn't Russian at all- it could even be Paul McFricking McCartney!!!!
In fact, I think I'll start lots of rumours about whom the investor is, and se how many of them make it to Sky Sports News!

Oh and Newcastle made a pathetic £20 million bid for our Wayne... immediately laughed away, as expected.
Sing it with me... "You can stick your fooking barcodes up your arse....!"

Lots of optimism,
*Em*

19th August

Well, Tommy had a good game for Denmark last night, in which they ran out as comfortable winners.

Zinedine was good for Ireland who only didn't hold their lead due to a STUNNING goal from Bulgaria...

As for Gaz and Faddy.... well, you know what happened there...
To be fair, I thought Gaz had a good game, looking very dangerous with his surges down the left wing, often looking to play the killer pass. Faddy was starved of service as their mid-filed was non-existant. He dropped back very deep looking to get involved but Hungary always seemed to have possession. We saw a bit of the firey Faddy too. I worried he might have been sent off at times....
Never mind- Scotland will really get started come the first qualifier.

18th August

Well, maybe I was wrong about stopping Arsenal at the first hurdle, but to be fair the scoreline flattered them.... and the ref gave them a wee bit of help too!

Saturday is when the season REALLY begins though!
I have taken the liberty of asking each and every member of the squad to join Toffeetintedglasses.... and told them that I'll cry if they don't, so they're BOUND to!

I also sent each of them a lucky present.... but I'm not telling you exactly what I sent them. However, what I will say is that I reckon they'll be doing a goal celebration involving duck imitations come Saturday...

Will update soon!

Lots of optimism,
*Em*

13th August

Sorry for not having updated this in over a month! I've been away...

So, the new season approaches and, obviously, I'm extremely optimistic that we can stop Arsenal going another season unbeaten at the first hurdle.

Tomasz Radzinski has entered B*armby territory with his comments about what Wayne should do, and the Continuing story of Franny Jeffers continues... This time he decided to gove us all a good laugh by giving Wane Rooney advice on leaving Everton! What a joke! Nice one Franny, you're funny as well as funny looking!

We have signed Tim Cahill, Eddy Bosnar and will probably sign Jurgen Colin today, as well as the earlier signing of Marcus Bent.
I'm mucho excited by the signing of Cahill because I've watched him all season and he was on my list of "Tiny footballers who I'd like us to sign."

Pre-season has been pretty good with my 2 favourites playing very well. (Ossie and Super Kev). Faddy's also done well but may not be availabe for Sunday. :(

On a sadder note, selecting David Unsworth for your fantasy footy team is now a sad experience as he pops up in a Pompey shirt... sob!

9th July

Well, Wayne's been offered the biggest deal in the club's history and until he signs it, the nonsense will continue...
Sadly, it's not longer Mancs, journalists and idiots creating the nonsense... oh no. It's now EVERTON players. Yep- little Tomasz Radzniski, the man with the world's funniest shots to goals ratio, who asked for a 3 year contract then turned it down when it was offered, is now saying that Wayne should move to "Better" his career. Fuck off Tomasz. I used to like you and I thought you might give something back to club that's kept you on even though you're shit, rather than leaving and then trying to encourage others to leave because you have some sort of death wish, you weird, arrogant little freak.

Meanwhile... Tommy G's agent has been at it again, chaniging his story every day... He has a death wish too, and I'd be only too happy to fulfill it for him.

4th July

So, today is the final of both Euro 2004 and Wimbledon Men's Singles.
I'll be watching both but I'm not too bothered about either in all honesty. I'm hoping Greece win Euro 2004 as I always support the Under-dogs where Everton aren't concerned.

More importantly, tomrrow sees Everton players return for pre-season training. Whoopee! Time for Moyes to whoop them all back into shape after weeks of doing buggar all, getting obese and trying to put the misery of last season behind them.

Shall I go into the Rooney stories I've seen this week? No, I shan't.... as they're all completely stupid. Laughable even.

As regards this site, I've been having terrible problems with the photo album. I'm afraid that if you want to see all my photos collectively, you'll have to visit the "Toffee Tinted Glasses" yahoo group, which means you have to be a member too. Alternatively, all my photo's are available on Dixie's MSN "Evertonians" group.

1st July

Well, after 8 years, Paul Gerrard has left, just one game short of the 100 mark. I'd like to wish him the best of luck at Nottingham Forest, but he probably doesn't read this site so I don't suppose I'll be able to.

Today also sees David Unsworth out of contract, but I personally don't think it'll be for very long. (Trust me- I've been in contact with him...)
He turned down the oppurtunity of a 2 year contract not because he didn't like it, but because he was unable to accept as he was already in talks with Bolton. Now that the stupid deal has thankfully collapsed, he'll surely be on his way back, and I for one am over the moon about that!

I would like to take this oppurtunity to award Youngsid with this week's "Optimist of the week" award. Well done Sidders! (OK, so it's not really a weekly thing- it's just something I made up a minute ago...)
I would also like to take this oppurtunity to apologise on behalf of both myself and Sidders for not phoning Matt while we were down the pub today, even though he's one of our bestest buddies in the world!!!
SORRY MATT! Please forgive me???

What lies ahead for the mighty mighty Blues? Well, pre-season training's pretty much under-way and the tour of America is looming!
Meanwhile, the speculaion surrounding Wonder-kid is constant and I for one am utterly bored with it and can't even be bothered to talk about it anymore because it's all so silly.

All our players are out of Euro 2004, but I really coudn't give a toss anymore because I think the whole tournament's been a joke and would rather the players had a wee holiday instead!

Thanks for visiting the site!

*Em*

27th June

It's not been the best of weeks for us. Wayne's broken a bone in his foot and won't be fit for the beginning of the season. :(

Still, the speculation surrounds his future. Such speculation is, however, based on NOTHING. I keep reading that Wayne's been linked with moves to Man Ure and Chelski, but none of the clubs involved have said ANYTHING. Therefore, there is no way he could have been linked with moves to either is there? It's just reporters making up shite in all honesty.

Let's look forward to some great summer signings. Come on Moyesy- buy us some players!!!

24th June 2004

Yesterday, Moyes made his first signing of the summer, bringing Marcus Bent to Goodison. I think it's a great signing, especially for a piddling fee of just £450,000!
Marcus is big, fast and strong in the air, and can play wide right if needed, which is definately somewhere that needs strengthening if you ask me.

I say "Welcome to the People's Club!"

As always, he has his doubters on the Blue Room, so hopefully he'll do what Zinedine Kilbane did and allow me to say "I told you so!"

We've been handed the opening fixture that I was hoping for- Arsenal at Goodison! Woohoo! Everyone else is miserable about this, but I think it's a great oppurtunity to
a) End their unbeaten run- AGAIN
and
b) Stop them going another season unbeaten at the first hurdle.
