Submission guidelines:

Basically, stories on this site must either focus on Craig Brice as a main character, or have what I refer to as good "Brice moments."  That means scenes in which Brice's character gets a chance to shine (Or annoy.  Or alphabetize.).

An exception to the above is the non-Brice orphan section.  I'm a sucker for a pretty face, what can I say?

One of the perks of being a site owner is the ability to reserve the right to refuse any stories I don't like.  The good news is, I like a lot, as long as characterizations aren't totally off the wall or make my skin crawl.  I don't mind swearing or sex, as long as it relates to the plot.  Just keep it PG-13 please, so Geocities/Yahoo doesn't pitch a fit.  I do mind estrogenated firefighters; i.e., men who cry at the drop of a hat, or scream a lot, or hug too much.  Real firefighters just don't do that, if you know what I mean.

I will also accept cross-posts,
as long as the other site owner knows and approves.  Otherwise, ask me to link to it in the links section.

Criteria for inclusion in the links section is a lot looser.  I'll link to just about anything that even mentions Brice in passing, again as long as it doesn't make my skin crawl.  Heck, I'll even link to slash and smarm, if it's well-written slash and smarm.  If for any reason you don't want your story link in this section, let me know and I'll remove it -- no hard feelings.

Mary Sues are not welcome in either section.  That means no original characters with striking eyes, lustrous hair, supernatural talents, quirky names or an eerie resemblance to the author.  You know who you are......

Typos I can deal with.  I'm horrible at grammar, but I can tell good from bad, so try to make yours good.

Over-used phrases ("he released the breath he didn't know he was holding", "they were closer than brothers") drive me nuts.  SCBA's don't contain oxygen, they contain air.  Engine 51 is not a "firetruck".  And so on.

I'm a paramedic, so medical accuracy is important...but I can always fix it if you make a mistake so don't go too crazy researching prehospital care.  When in doubt, find a good beta-reader before submitting a story.

We already know a lot about Craig Brice, thanks to the wonderful reference pages created by the owners of the late, lamented Code Red.  I've linked to those pages under
Brice facts, in case you need reference sources.

Submissions should be in rtf format please.  If you can't figure out how to do that, send me a Word file and I'll convert it, but I won't be happy about it.  Submissions should be sent to
